• Provide editorial and translation services to scientists who are non-native English speakers
• Highlight recent breakthrough research articles published by researchers from the Asia-Pacific area through brief, non-technical summaries to help publicize the advances to a wider audience.
• Liaise with the researchers to discuss the accuracy and content of the research highlight before publication
2006 - 2008• Developed and implemented a new molecular modelling approach to provide a detailed understanding of oil sand bitumen processing.
• Identified and investigated new reagents to upgrade bitumen via desulphurisation using autoclave experiments.
2004 - 2006• Synthesized and characterised new hydrogen-bonded rosette nanotubes bound to polypeptides to tune their self-assembly into nanofibers and promote to improve cell adhesion and growth under the Genomics and Health Initiatives/National Institute for Health programs.
• Synthesized model polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons and, for the first time, studied their self-assembly to understand asphaltene aggregation and fouling behaviour during bitumen processing.
