James Gimenez
ATPL ICAO, FAA pilot
I have been a pilot for over ten years. My license was obtained in Canada, where I was an instructor for two years, VIP public transport for seven years and sometimes did cargo and medevac transport.
I have more then 1800 hours of operations for executive customers. While completing these, I spent my time in both northern Canada and airports such as LaGuardia, Newark, Boston Logan, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Toronto, Milan and Marseille.
With the on the job training that was given, my colleagues and I learned to handle everything related to flight planning, managing fuel, weather conditions and customs (for ourselves and clients).
The autonomy I gained is due to a strong and good environment, where we were well surrounded. This specialized training gave us a wide range of expertise and good skills while staying safe.
To me having skills such as good handling, good decision making, self control, leadership and ability to communicate are only the minimum of what is needed. It is also important, to be part of a successful company, to get invested as if it was your own.
Aside from my duties as a pilot, I also built some excel programs for follow up on fuel, for people management (training, medical …) electronic logbook, electronic Pilot Training Record for the students, dynamic weight and balance for each planes, quality control for the engines; This knowledge came from my previous employment at Pechiney/ALCAN/Rio Tinto R&D laboratory.
I have always worked hard, and flying is my passion. Amongst other attributes I am known to be organized, honest, loyal, dedicated and always a team player.
