Développeur Murex, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec
Thanks to my various experiences, I have a lot of skills, both on I.T. (Programming languages, Relational Database Management System, Project management) and general (Finance, Advertisement, and Metallurgy).
I am currently looking for new opportunities in Montreal.
In the Money Market Development team, I have three missions:
Creation of new functionalities and enhancement of existing products: I am at the head of the developments concerning new events linked to financial products in version v3.1. Thanks to my last development you can early terminate a contract, so it implies a Fee calculation: this work was done with the partnership of a famous South African bank and last six months.
Maintenance and bugs correction of all available versions, from version v2000.2.10 to v.3.1.16 but also on few one-off. It is also to optimize existing code so Murex is faster and uses less memory.
Migration of functionalities: mostly from v2000.2.11 to v.3.1, but also from one-off to the last build.
These developments are done in C on Windows, linked with Sybase or Oracle databases, with a special Framework owned by Murex. This framework simulates the object-oriented programming.
2006 - 2006TF1 Publicité decides to reshape Decision Support System to combine the net revenue of TF1 and thematic. I had to create a tool which covers at least the perimeter covered by the old system to lose no information, was available the morning when users arrived, and was formed in Information System way to improve time of restitution. After this reshape I have created the universe Following of Alerts (used by developers to follow in real time the relevance of data of the new Information System) and the relating reports.
These projects were done with Business Objects XI r2 (Designer modules) and Web Intelligence.
2002 - 2004The goal of my internship was to give me skills in COBOL and Business Object. I have created a program to control the position of stainless steel bobbins on the site of Gueugnon, so the head chef of the site can follow all the bobbins. It was deployed on the production line, and used by six hundreds users. I have done another program for developers (Department Control of production) which created and inserted test cases. These developments were done in COBOL MVS linked to a DB2 database. The second part of my internship was Business Intelligence oriented, with the creation of the universe Packing. This last project was large, one part developed in COBOL MVS with a DB2 database, the second part based on SQL Server and queried with Business Object.
