My Background

Engineering & Production Personnel

I started out in an office of about 8 people specializing in engineering and production personnel. Plant Managers, Maintenance Managers, Plant Engineers, Designers; these were our standard fare.

Sales Representatives

After a few years I went to work on my own. My focus became sales representatives. Soon, I was joined by a friend, an excellent recruiter who liked tinkering with his PC, so we began to focus on IT sales and marketing personnel.

Retained Search

My partner went to work for Deloitte & Touche in their Executive Search practice and, eventually, I began to work on contract for Deloitte and other retained search firms like PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Working with the big brand companies exposed me to a wide range of senior searches in the public and private sectors. I also did a lot of work recruiting Auditors.

When the big consulting firms closed their recruiting practices I continued to work with the smaller organizations that spun off from them serving the same type of client

USA

In 2009, I began to work on searches with some of the excellent recruiters I've met online. Most of their work is the United States.

I've continued to work on a wide range of assignments in Toronto and elsewhere in Canada, as well.
