Involved in a smart card/contactless (Paypass/Paywave) project?
I will assist your project team in designing your credit and debit card profiles (VSDC, Paywave, MChip4, Paypass), the new authorization scenarios and in obtaining Visa or/and MasterCard certifications.

Because a chip card is more complex than a mag-stripe, it requires that issuers configure certain data elements and functions for each EMV application present inside the chip (usually a domestic/regional application and an international application). This configuration process is generally called “Designing a card profile” and allows the issuer to offer smart cards which perform efficient, simple and secure payment/withdrawal services for debit/credit/prepaid cards.
The same expertise is necessary for issuers who are interested in reissuing their debit or credit cards with value-added services (instant reward programs, combined debit&credit, quick payment services, transit fare, etc.), and/or with additional security features for payments at self-services kioks, or for on-board merchants (Airplane, Train, Ferry, Cruises) where authorizations are processed offline.

Thanks to a deep background in smart card technology and an international consumer-oriented experience, I provide you with a proven methodology and a complete set of workshops tailored to business lines, IT and Security departments, which provides ‘best practices’ and practical advice to assist you in designing your smart card profiles, as well as your new authorization and fraud detection scenarios. I will also take into account your regional-specific regulations, and ‘cultural’ differences in payment schemes.

Main services are the following:
* For Issuers:
- Design debit/credit/prepaid Card Profiles (VSDC, qVSDC, Visa Contactless & MSD, MChip4, Paypass EMV & Magstripe, Interac, CB, DPA/CAP, LVP, etc.) for regional and international Card Schemes,
- Write Business Requirements (card production, authorization and fraud detection)
- Assist Issuers in their card certification process with Visa, MasterCard and regional Card Schemes
- Assist Issuers in designing their new processes

* For Card Schemes and Regional Card Brands:
- Design Card Application (like VIS, MChip4), compliant with EMV specifications
- Design certification processes for card profiles

* For Acquirers/Processors: Design test cards to test EMV and/or contactless terminals, and potentially produce samples of these cards (with my partners)

* Creation and/or customization of interactive training programs and materials tailored to business, technical, operational, and management occupational profiles (We have designed more than 40 training courses). I have been taking courses on interactive pedagogy since 2005. For Latin regions, I will be assisted by a professional translator (Hablo solamente un poco de espagnol).
