Rosemary Warren
Technical Writer, iCongo Inc.
I've done something a little different in every company I've worked in. I've worked for big companies and small, from manufacturing to services to the public sector, for a brief stay or a few years. One thread has emerged to tie all these experiences together:
Companies need help to make the most of their hardware and software investment. You can't just plunk a box on a worker's desk and walk away, and expect that person to be immediately productive. These systems need to be complemented with training and support.
And that is where I come in.
I've become the "go to" person to solve problems at the user desktop level. I help people make the most of the tools they already have. I have plowed through raw data looking for the one element that didn't fit the expected pattern. I have studied usage patterns in an effort to improve processes and software. If I'm not familiar with something, I will research the problem looking for the solution.
As a result, I don't fit very well into a box.
