Olivier Doutres
Post-Doc Research Fellow, Groupe d'Acoustique de L'université de Sherbrooke (GAUS), Canada
PhD. Engineer with expertise in most areas of acoustics (sound propagation, absorbing materials, vibrations, electrodynamic transducers,...).
Research and development of innovative multi-functional and recyclable foams. The objective of this research is to develop products for acoustics, vibrations and thermal applications in a cost-effective way with recyclable thermoplastic porous/open-celled foams. 2 years Post-Doctoral contract at the acoustic laboratory of Sherbrooke (GAUS).
2007 - 2008Research and development on a new device to measure the mechanical properties of sound absorbing materials (foam, glass wool,..) in the low and medium frequency range. The sensor is based on an electrodynamic transducer such as classical loudspeaker but it is avoid of the main wellkown nonlinearities. This work lead to a patent and a paper in the "Journal of Acoustical Society of Amercica".
